We are excited to release our 2023 Rosa Lee Petit Verdot! After the great success of last year’s Rosa Lee Petit Verdot, we decided to maintain our certified-organic trio of Napa Valley grapes: 80% Petit Verdot, 10% Malbec, and 10% Zinfandel.

The exceptionally long and cool ripening season of 2023 led our three-varietal blend down a unique path, with the Petit Verdot reaching peak maturity in early-October and the Zinfandel and Malbec hanging on the vine for almost a full month longer, before being harvested on November 2. We aged these bold and distinct wines separately in American Oak barrels prior to blending in the fall, letting them integrate for an additional 5 months prior to bottling in December 2024.

Inky deep ruby in color, complex and continually evolving aromas of blackberry, candied cherry, and chocolate-covered cranberry are complemented by subtle vanilla, and baking spices. Quenching acidity and firm tannins are balanced by juicy flavors of candied plum, blueberry, cherry, and roasted mocha. Only 398 cases produced.
