*2007 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley
ZD recommends using an ah-so wine opener on library wines. Be sure to add one to your cart if you don't already own one!
This ZD 2007 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, with its powerful aromas of blackberry, cassis and spicy dark plum is another example of an exceptional vintage from the Napa Valley.
Following ZD’s signature style of producing big, ripe, powerful yet balanced Cabernet Sauvignons, we sourced the fruit from several small, intensely farmed Napa Valley vineyards, each with its own unique “terroir”. Each lot was fermented separately in small open top stainless steel fermentors, and punched down three times a day to ensure an effective but gentle extraction of color and tannins. This wine was aged for two years in American oak.
Dark and dense, this wine is bursting with complexity. The core of ripe fruit integrates beautifully with subtle hints of vanilla, clove and mocha, and the lush, silky tannins round out the long, rich finish.
