A picture perfect growing season led up to the 2013 harvest, which happens to mark ZD’s 45th vintage. We were thrilled to have an excellent crop on our hands as the fruit of this milestone vintage—sourced from three renowned cool climate regions across California—began arriving at the winery.

An ample supply of warm days and cool nights facilitated slow ripening and optimal flavor development for the grapes that would define ZD’s signature 100% Chardonnay blend. All fruit was hand-picked at night to ensure it remained in pristine condition.

Bright forward aromas of guava and orange blossom are complemented by subtle hints of honey and sweet vanilla. The palate is full bodied and lush with notes of pineapple, lime and lemon zest that integrate seamlessly with natural acidity and subtle oak.
