ZD Wines, Honig and Peju Province Winery on the

Longest Day of the Year!

Each winery will host wine tasting, live entertainment and sustainable gourmet cuisine.  Guests are invited to celebrate the sunlight and the solar energy systems that power these wineries.  100% of the proceeds raised from ticket sales will benefit the Napa Valley Land Trust.  ZD is the latest Rutherford winery to adopt solar power, with the installation of a 125kW system earlier this year.  The 714-module design supplies 100 percnt of the energy used in ZD’s production.

Tickets: $40 for wine club members, $50 for non-club members.

2007 Rosa Lee Gewürztraminer, Russian River Valley

ZD Wines is pleased to announce the release of this 2007 Old Vine Russian River Gewürztraminer (ga-VERTZ-trah-mee-ner), ZD’s first in 25 years. In keeping with our tradition of introducing new and exciting wines, this is part of our Rosa Lee wine program. The grapes were harvested from the Spring Hill Vineyard located in the Russian River Valley at 21.5° Brix and fermented cold in 100% stainless steel. Lower sugar and intensely flavored grapes allowed us to make a dry, bright, vibrant wine with lower alcohol (12.5%). With aromas of apricots, orange blossom, Asian pear and lemon zest, this wine is an aromatic powerhouse! On the palate hints of dried pineapple, lemon, ginger and spice make this wine an ideal pairing with spicy Asian food.   Perfect for those lazy summer afternoons. Only 450 cases were produced. Enjoy!

Endowment Mission Statement:
“This endowment fund is established to recognize and further promote the outstanding research approach of Dr. Tuscano and the UC Davis Cancer Center in pursuing a non-toxic cure for lymphoma which will have widespread availability for lymphoma patients. When a cure for lymphoma is found, this fund will be designated toward non-toxic cures for disease into perpetuity.”
